Tangerine is used in its bold weight here. It is a chancery italic rather than a copperplate, so the capitals are more upright and the letters have a pen-drawn quality that suits certificates, wax seals and cake toppers.
Formal scripts are the traditional choice for wedding monograms, vine monograms, towels and stationery. The initials are usually set with the surname initial larger in the centre, without a frame or with a thin circle. Script fonts have thin joining strokes, so they need size: 3 to 4 inches in adhesive vinyl, 4 to 5 inches in heat-transfer vinyl, and 2.5 inches or more for satin-stitch embroidery. Weed the hairlines last, with a fine hook, and use a strong transfer tape.
